Panasonic DVD-LS5 Portable Multi-region DVD Player Best Buy

I bought this player over a year ago and still it remains the best buy Ive made in a long time. I had my doubts when I first seen the screen size but when you actually switch on and watch a film on this you will realise the screen size is perfect - if you buy a player with a bigger screen size the whole portable idea starts to disappear. The picture quality is as good as you will see and the picture mode can also be changed, so you can watch in various formats as well as changing the brightness and colour displays. The sound quality of the internal speakers is pretty dodgy but plug in a set of speakers or earphones and the sound quality is amazing. Another bonus is the adjustable viewing angle of the screen allowing viewing in any position.

The only drawback is the life of the battery included as it only lasts around 2.5 hours (3 hours if you reduce colour and brightness of picture while watching with battery) but this should be sufficient for most films. You should only require the use of battery though on a train, plane or automobile though, which I used only once or twice to try it out. There is also a remote control included but I have found this pointless as Im never any more than a couple of inches from the actual player when watching, but it comes in useful when you plug the player into a tv set to act as a conventional player.

All in all this is a great gadget to have in general but is a must buy for the dvd enthusiast.

I was absolutely amazed by this gorgeous little number when I purchased it recently.

There were others on the market which had bigger screens but the word "portable" is what swayed my decision and just to lay any doubts to rest as to the size of the screen,well the crisp clear quality will blow you away (incidentally try Finding Nemo to test the superlative quality and watch the crisp definition and the array of colours that film provides)

The sound whilst in mono is clear and sufficient but for the true cinema experience why not invest in a good pair of headphones like the Sony MV300,this will really show you the quality that the Panasonic DVD-LS5 is made of.

The only down side is that it doesn't come with a case, but I managed to sort that out too!! Just buy one of those soft leather cases that you can get for your portable CD player and unlike the bigger screened players it's a perfect fit. Sorted.

All in all for all you DVD enthusiasts out there an absolute must buy!!!!!!!! Excellent value for money.

I got one of these for Christmas it was possible the best thing under the tree. I found it remarkable smaller than my friends on and it a lot more portable. The playing quality is great and it's so small you could keep it in you handbag if you're a lady. It's great for those long and boring journeys the flip screen is a great innovation.

This little DVD player is excellent. There are many portable DVD players on the market now, with pretty much standard spec as above, with 3hr battery life, multi-format read, etc.. There are also cheaper models out there with larger screens, but why buy this model??
That is the exact question I had when buying this model, it is not the cheapest model on the market, nor does it have the same screen size as the competition, but the quality of the picture and sound win the day here.

The screen is super sharp, with colour, contrast perfect. The sound is crisp. This unit is also very compact with the battery attached, unlike the cheaper alternatives, whose batteries are the same size as the player itself.

This portable DVD is highly recommended for its practicality, build quality, and performance. I would also recommend buying an additional battery (6 hr battery can be bought) which is also available. A real performer.

Can not put this lovely thing down,The battery is strong 3 hours last an entire movie,The screen is clear if you are looking for a portable dvd player this is the one a much have for traveling a wonderful device!Don,t no i have kids in the car any more!!!!
