Not happy at all - 13 Jan 2008

I bought this tv for £628'99 delivered on 07/01/08. Two days later it developed a thin blue verticle line down the left hand side of the screen that just did not dissapear. I phoned Sony on 10/01/08 and they said no problem , faulty unit we will tell amazon to swap it for you as it is in the 7 day warranty period. I have today 13/01/08(and not a week old) received a mail from amazon telling me they will gladly refund me as they are out of stock.... NO THEY ARE NOT ! The t.v's have risen in price since I bought it to £899.00 Check for yourself and they don't want to lose money.. My fault or theirs? Definately theirs ... MORAL Don't buy a thing off these people , they rip you off like all the rest!

We bought this tv at the turn of the new year from a sony centre (sorry amazon!) to replace a phillips tv that had gone wrong not even 4 weeks after we bought it - phillips were fantatsic about it and even gave us a number to take to the dealer so they would give us the money back for it, Not wanting to risk it happening again we opted for a sony as our last tv we were replacing was a sony trinitron 10 years old and still going strong; it was just starting to show its age being a big and bulky (not to mention VERY heavy) corner piece. The sony shows far sharper and clearer pictures than any other (or at least the same spec phillips we had before) Hi-Def tv, the bravia brand is worth the claims it makes 10/10, teamed up with blu-ray it blows you away. sony is a brand you can trust to deliver time and time again, theyve worked hard to get to the top, they definately deserve to stay there
don't buy this TV - 26 Dec 2007

13 months after buying this so called brilliant Bravia it stopped working! A Sony approved dealer quoted £904.00 to fix!!!! Sony UK says now and then a product goes wrong......in other words 'tough'!! My advice buy a different brand.
well worth the 700 notes!! - 20 Dec 2007

This tv is simply in a class of it's own. Maybe a touch too big for some people's rooms, but as the ladies would say...size matters! This is one heck of a tv, not to mention the total envy you will see on the face's of your mate's when they pop round!he he. This bravia is so easy to set up, REALLY quick to tune and before you know it your enjoying all it can offer. The picture quality before even fiddling with any of the menu options is fab, the colours seem fresh and full of life. After clicking it to 'cinema' in the picture menu I can safely say I haven't seen Die Hard so clear before, must add that was just off Digital tv! The sound to my well trained ear seem's perfectly balanced with no need to have the volume too loud to appreciate the great tone's these speakers can produce. I'll spare you the techno jargon that every bloke can rhime off as it bore's me too! All in all I couldn't be happier as I would have spent at least another £300 if I hadn't shopped around which I can now spend on my girlfriend, she wrote that! Honest.
