I have had 2,42" plasma tv's and returned them both because of poor picture quality at a similar price to this one.This however is a far better picture and a lot brighter than the plasma's.I have no complaints with it.

got this baby last week - and after a few setting adjustments was not dissapointed
1/excellent picture on standard rf areial
2/ even better on sky
3/ super good on dvd
4/ mind blowing on xbox360
ps- play your dvds through the xbox on hd cable (magic)
this tv is a bargin
pss- turn the 3dy(see instructions in advanced section)setting to slow and the colour to pal and the av to standard for best picture and lastly - dnr (digital noise reduction)off a- superb tv
