What can I say! This is an awesome set. I am using it as my head 'multimedia' display, and I mainly got it for my xBox 360.

It was very important to me that the screen was PC input compliant too, which this is.

It took a lot of fiddling (my fault) on getting the PC to display. My graphics card has DVI out, so I bought a DVI to HDMI cable, but it seems the set can't handle the extream digital picture this produces (or I was doing something wrong), so I ended up using the D-SUB connection instead (i.e. the same connection as I had on my previous 17" LG monitor.

The quality of the PC side of things is fantastic! Not as clear and crisp as my 17" LG was, but when you think how much res it has to cope with it's amazing (even through the ostensibly analogue connection that D-SUB is).

Dare I mention how amazing the xBox 360 looks through the screen on High-Def??! It's absolutely jaw-droppingly crisp.

The sound is pretty naff on the set, but it simply doesn't have the room for speakers that can pump out noise and bass, and I don't know about you, but I would rather have a set that looks as good as this one, with the picture as great as can be than for any sacrifice for enhanced sound. Particularly as you can easily hook your sound up to a 5.1 surround amp if you wanted.

I've rated this set as a top notch 5 star - worth every penny!

With mediocre broadcast SD you might not notice the difference so much but once you have decent quality transmission such as Sky, or run DVDs, you notice straight away how good this is. Cant wait for HD! I was tempted to buy the cheaper model, which was still pretty good, but this puppy has a super sharp picture and nice colour saturation, handles anything you throw in terms of movemeent etc. Remote is a bit ropey (no picture mode button for instance) and sound could be a bit more beefy but these are minor niggles. Overall I think the quality is as good as you'll get in an LCD.

Different from Dell or any other LCD or Plasma manufacturer, Samsung implements their newest chip techonlogy into every piece of products. I am using Samsung's LCD screen for 5 years now, and I really can not complain at all to the awe inspiring resolution and contrast that is incompatible because of the monitors consistent durable quality. I also own a Samsung Plasma TV. I researched extensively to find a right TV for me and I could not let money get in the way because I knew that this was the world's best Plasma TV manufacturer. As I have read from many critics- Samsung's TVs and Plasma TVs are carefully manufactured with the most fresh and powerful chips. After all they are the #1 best chip producer through out the world. I have to admit that after using the plasma TV and LCDs for over 8 years now, I am really convinced that I can rely on their technology. They are the world's best manufacturer in the field of elctronics.

What Home Cinema mid size LCD TV test winner...had this for a couple of months now, it is an amazing HD ready tv and a bargain. Hooked up to my Denon 2910 with Kimber HDMI cable and pictures are outstanding. I cannot believe how cheap this is. The only downer is feeble sound but all my other equipment is connected to my amp so who cares. Now all I need to do is get an XBOX 360.
