Good LCD TV for the price. Wall mounting needs more thought. - 19 Aug 2006

I wanted a basic tv to look good and take up little wall space (and not cost too much money!) in the bedroom. This tv has not disappointed and the picture is good (far better than other "cheap" models I looked at), the setup easy, the functions comprehensive and even the remote is cute.
The integrated stand works well and tilts back neatly to form a wall bracket. Two irritations are that you need to drill the wall holes *perfectly* (almost impossible in brick, as you'll know if you've ever tried!) to get the tv to be square on your wall, as the bracket had no adjustment slots; also there is no horizontal swivel -- you can tilt the tv up/down, but *not left/right*, meaning that you need to install the tv pretty much directly in front of where you're going to view it from. These are annoyances, as either of these niggles would have been very simple things to fix during the design and testing phases. A big company like Samsung should do such basic things automatically.
On the whole, though, a good LCD TV if you're on a budget.

I Bought this TV just after Christmas.
It is a fantastic TV!
It looks good,
the remote is good looking.
picture is great,
sound is great,
easy to set up and easy to install.
I would recommend this TV to anyone!
