Hard Drive A Bit Of A Handfull - 02 Feb 2008

The tv its self is top stuff 10 out of 10.
And also the harddrive is well done and easy to control.
For the first tv to have a built in harddrive its a good start.
For the person who only does the occasional recording it will probably be perfect and save a bit of space and dusting.
BUT me being some one who seems to record a lot of stuff mainly as most programs i watch are on at the same time these days i have found a lot of small but anoying problems in only the first week of ownership and have had to send it back.
The main problem/niggle is that when you are watching a channel and the hdd starts to record another ,the tv changes to that channel and stays there until you change it back manualy.By this time you have missed the crusual last minutes of your program.(been told by LG that this is because the recorder uses the digital tuner you are watching and when you change over channel only then the second tuner starts ,shorly this should be round the other way).
In all there is aprox 5 more of these small problems which must be able to be fixed with a software download.
If LG ever fix this then mabe i will try them again, but with samsung and others on the way thay will have to do it soon ! .
I dont know why anybody else hasnt picked up on this unless its only my tv that had the problem , if so sorry LG...
Quality at the right price! - 25 Jan 2008

I have tody recieved my LG 32LT75 LCD with 160G HD.
The quality of the picture and the ease of use are excellent!
If you like me get swamped with the technical jargon that surrounds products today then do as i did and go look in the high street shops until you find somthing you like the look of then go home and order it on line. I saved £180 pounds on this TV by buying on line.
The TV was up and running within 15 mins of being delivered, the TV tuned itself in and the recorder is very user friendly.
Stunning Picture, Amazing Value - 01 Jan 2008

Firstly, this is an amazing value proposition.
At around £499 with integrated 160 GB PVR (57hrs Freeview record time!) and Freeview tuner, you have to rub your eyes to believe the image capability is as good as this!
Although it is essentially a 720P panel, a resolution that is perfect for 32" screens, the panel will also accept any 1080P signal meaning you will have no headaches connecting any HD device.
However, the way in which this unit uses a 1080P signal is truly remarkable, with a much improved display over the native 720P output. This, one assumes is a benefit from the exceptional XD image processor onboard.
The intelligent eye function ensures that you have optimal settings applied according to source and environment lighting conditions. However, you may find the image occasionally cold and colour filtered and stylised colour schemes. Should this be the case, you can choose from other method to add warmth and vibrancies to suit.
I have tested this unit with Sky through Scart, which is OK, but the Sky's encoding is truly horrible in standard definition, so the image is not the best and I would recommend cable or Freeview usage to get best SD TV.
If you want to pay for a HD TV service then all well and good!
PS3 in 1080P through HDMI is utterly perfect, you could not ask for no more. It would almost seem like the unit was specifically designed to use the PS3.
The Blu-Ray performance is almost beyond belief, with absolutely nothing to pick pieces about! The response time of the panel is 8ms and this seems a true measurement and there is no ghosting or shadowing whatsoever.
Connecting old Av equipment was also really pleasing with PS2 even through Scart and composite looking better than most other brands on LCD can manage.
DVD movies played through the PS3 with up scaling enabled was also very, very impressive.
The unit is well made, well packaged and comes with a good stand and plently of instructions.
The remote control is intuitve and well constructed and of a pleasant size with well spaced and grouped button. Something many reviews forget to inform us about!
The on screen menu system is A+, nobody should experience any difficulty in navigating and achieving their aims easily.
If anyone can find a better image and value add product than this with the next 3 months, I'll surely be impressed.
Overall, stunning! 10/10

Why does nobody mention the built in 160Gb hard drive recorder, I bought this TV elsewhere for under £500 (sorry Amazon) and with the recorder built in it is a steal.
