I thought that this being a portable DVD player, it was bound to be a multi-zone player. Wouldn't it be nice if the player that you can take anywhere would work anywhere? This one doesn't. It's really small and light, but you'll have to take your own DVDs if you're taking it outside Europe (region 2).

This DVD player by Sony really kicks ass!! I bought it one year ago and i'm still super satissfied. You can personalise it (as i've done) by putting the picture you want on the front and it even comes with sound enhancement presets and a screensaver for your television. It's propably the most fashionable DVD player ever and it's even portable! You carry it easily anywhere ;)
About the image quality, it gets much better using the digital output.
It's the MUST HAVE DVD player for anyone who wants a perfect combination of style and unique characteristics.

Very portable small footprint DVD player, ideal to attach to a TV in a bedroom or anywhere when space is limited. Usual Sony quality, funky design, plenty of features and a great picture, odd lid arrangement, but easy to use.

I got it out of the box, plugged it in and it didn't work. I tried it again on another 3 televisions, and it still didn't work! I then decided to send it back and get a new one... but had the same problem again! Enough said!!!

Excellent buy for this small compact unit which plays all disks including recordable etc. Doesn't take up that much space.
You are not able to play via batteries, so its not portable in that sense. I did initially think of using it like a walkman on the train but this is not possible. Otherwise an excellent buy.
