I would recomend the dvpns300 as it is a quality piece of kit for the price, im very happy with the dvd player and it hasent let me down it boasts many features as the on screen setup and also settings where flickering can be lost, it also features surround sound features using a conventional tv set such as night and dynamic. The dvd player also comes dolby digital and dts output so that should u wish to connect a home cinema reciever and spakers. A few let downs of the dvpns300 are that it does not play cd recordables and it aslo doesent have a optical digital output usful for minidisc recording. It does however have a optical digital input. I would definately recomend the dvpns3oo and its even better when multirigion chipped looks good sounds great and boasts brilliant pictures much of which would be expected of sonys reputation for quality.

I am very pleased with this player as it is stylish, fast, gives good picture and sound quality and uses a seperate playing technology for music CD's. However, for the price, I did expect it to have atleast the simple features, such as the zoom function. My last player (Samsung) was very good with every feature including zoom, but lasted barely a year because of some fault. Overall though this is a top player, if you are thinking of getting a DVD player, do not opt for a playstation 2 - opt for the real thing.

another great product from sony, the dvpns300 is a great product with many great features it has outstanding picture and sound and even allows suround sound with a tv if u do not have the proper dolby diggital pro logic setup.
i would highly recomend this product

Having bought my son a PS2 for christmas we quickly hooked it up via an s-video cable to our 28" widescreen tv and got watching DVD's. However, the play back was not that smooth and it did'nt seem quite right (well it is a games console, after all) so we took the plunge and bought this player from Amazon, having read up on it from other sites/magazines that this player was rated very highly. When you recieve the package it feels very light and hence you are not sure what to expect, but it is a class 'a' player, excellent set-up procedure that has you playing movies in a few minutes and the picture and sound are top notch both being cystal clear. Given the current price this player is a bargain and I would highly recommend it.

i was looking to buy a surround sound system but after having this d.v.d shown to me i bought one ... saving £300 on the system i was going to buy. the set up is simple the picture is
excellent but it is in the sound department that this d.v.d. comes into it one added to a pro-logic t.v it is simply awsome i am not a hi-fi anorack but can appciate quality and this d.v.d is premieur legaue.
