I have owned this machine since Jan 07 so feel I can write an honest review. I selected this machine originally over similarly priced Phillips models as I prefered the look of it - slimline, sleek, frosted green/silver, clear display.
Good points:-
Easy to use
Sound/vision very clear
Cheap price
Looks good
Manual very clear
Variety of features
Not so good points:-
1. When you press play after pausing a DVD for a short while, it tends to jump ahead, so you have to rewind the film to where you got to(anything from 10 seconds to 2.5 mins)- very annoying!
2. After extensive searches (even paying some dvd unlock companies - they take your money and you hear no more!)there are no codes to change this machine to multi region (unless someone knows otherwise) - the hack below DOES NOT work for this model so do not pay for it:-
Turn on unit
open disc tray (leave open)
press 3 4 9 7 3 4 on remote
press 0 (zero) on remote to select region free
display should confirm region free
I have awarded this 3 stars purely for the 2 negative points.
** Buy it if you want a reliable, cheap, good looking machine.
** Don't buy it if you want to convert it to multi region.
