Maybe I'm just unlucky but I bought this thing a few months ago because I wanted an inexpensive second player and this one had good reviews. It worked great for the 1st month playing every disc format I have, then it started saying bad disc with some of them now it wont play anything at all. Like I said I might be just unlucky but I don't recomend this player at all.

I bought this as a replacement for my previous multi-regional DVD player + this is brilliant !!! The manual and label on the unit both state that this is region 2 only. IGNORE THEM. The first disc I played was region 1 and I had more disc features on this than on my old player. I would recommend this to ANYONE. It is a superb small lightweight unit which, as other reviewers have said is best connected through a scart lead rather than the r/y/w phono plugs. All I can add is ENJOY YOUR NON REGION 2 MOVIES !!

After reading the reviews on here i was aprenhensive about this dvd player - but have been more than satisfied - it is excellent and well worth the money.

I didn't realise a DVD player could be so tiny and compact until this one arrived at my door. It was no problem to set up, and played region 1 and region 2 DVDs straight out of the box (I've not checked other regions as yet).
The only caution I need to offer is that you might want to check the compatibility of your TV with the DVD player with someone who knows before you buy, particularly if you've got a separate freeview box plugged into your TV which you plan to run the DVD player off. My TV now won't pick up picture on ordinary channels with the DVD player plugged in. This isn't really a problem for me because I can just watch channels on freeview, but it may be a concern for some.

I purchased this DVD player solely on the strengh of Customer Reviews. I was not disappointed. It is compact and fits anywhere without looking bulky. It plays DVD's that would not play on my old Player. I really am pleased with this tiny cutie and would recommend it to anyone (in fact, my neighbour is getting one, after seeing mine). And if it has a short life-span, who cares, for this price I will positively buy another of the same. In fact, I just may buy another one to store until needed.
