This is an excellent sound system. Very easy to set up with TV, Sky, DVD Recorder & Wii.Sound is amazing & picture is very sharp through HDMI link, and as stated previously just run a scart lead from 2nd scart on TV to scart on DAV, Set Function on remote to TV and everything on screen is played through the DAV.

Really good quality sound and easy to setup. Can also be switched via the remote to play whatever sound is coming through the TV. Although it lacks an optical input it is possible to use this with consoles / SKY (I have it hooked up to my 360). Basically the trick a lot of people don't catch on to is that the scart socket on the DVD player is a two way switch - i.e if a signal is coming into it it will output this signal via the speakers. Therefore all you need to do is connect the audio out on your TV to the scart socket - less than ideal but it does work and at this price is worth it.

This system has good sound, and also looks good. The only down side is the lack of connections. Would make life a lot easier if sony had fitted an optical output for direct connection to xbox360, it can be connected but it is a bit of a hassle. Even my cheap £30 dvd player has optical output.

got my dv230 to go with my kdl32s3000 at the same time this week (treated myself). i got to say it is very nice ,sound calibration with the mic is easy done . i'm no tech wizard so iam taking my time setting both up . i plugged my tv into the hdmi and sky box into the scart on the system and the tv ,as sky has 2 scarts .don't know if this is right or not yet but it comes through ok .the only trouble i'm having is the theatre link ,when i try that it goes to av6 and i want av4 .i still have a lot of messing around with it yet .it only has 1 hdmi so i don't know what to do to connect xbox or ps3 to it yet , but i'll contact sony for help .

I recently got sky HD and thought so i could get the full use out of it bought A sony hd tv and the SONY DAV-DZ230 Home Cinema System. For a home cinema system so cheap it is fantastic. No matter where you have your speakes the calibration mic will set up ur speakers so they sound fantastic. the HDMI allowes a the HDMI cable giving excellent picture quality. Being able to turn on certain speaker and leave others off allows best sound quality for what you are needing.
