Absolute Corker of an LCD! - 01 Apr 2008

Purchased the Sony BRAVIA after I had been in the market for a while for a new TV.

Brought it home, set it up (an absolute breeze!) and turned on the Sky Box, SD (Standard Definition) picture is okay - as one may expect, but then plugged in my PS3 via HDMI, and WOW!

Started GTHD (Gran turismo HD) and what an eyeball piercing experiencing, colours pop and the screen really delivers, in Sony's own words;

'colour like.no.other'

Get this LCD, You won't be disappointed, the BRAVIA RealityMAX engine found in this piece of kit is just too much too pass up on, plug in your PS3 via HDMI, and you'll wonder how you ever got along with SD PS3!!!

Great TV, low price! - 16 Mar 2008

Like the rest, I bought this TV from a well known supermarket, an offer too good to refuse, £449 for a Sony 32". The set up was easy and only took 5 minutes. The picture and sound are great. Once I connected up my Xbox 360 I was blown away by the quality!

Scanning through the digital channels was not as easy as I would like but this is a small niggle in an otherwise great package.

If you're looking for a great 32" set, give this one some serious thought.

like the rest fo the reviews I was looking around in well known supermarket and saw this telly and at £449 could not hope for a better prices as a second telly, for the money it is o.k as SD picture via Aerial is not that brilliant, I have not yet fed any HD source only via hdmi as yet..

for the money it is o.k.,and for a second room telly there are plentyconnections at the back 2 x scarts,1 x component 2 x hdmi and 1 x 15 pin PC connection. with Audio in/out to hook up to external hifi.

A 32" Sony for £450 - Bargain - 25 Nov 2007

For months I've been trying to decide which LCD to purchase, but having researched the area heavily I was no nearer a decision. For my budget of £450, I couldn't decide which was the best 26" TV to get. Then, wandering round a well-known supermarket, I saw this 32" Sony for under £450. The price immediately grabbed my attention, and looking at the picture, I was impressed by the way it handled Standard Definition TV. The sound was also good - admittedly, it doesn't compare to a dedicated surround sound system, but it's one of the best sounding TV's I've ever owned.

To get the Sony Brand name at such a bargain price is amazing - I'm really pleased with my purchase.

Good value, good set from an excellent brand - 26 Oct 2007

Just as the previous reviewer I did not buy this set from Amazon, but from a large supermarket instead. The offer was too good to refuse: a Sony Bravia 32" for £499.

The TV looks fabulous, with a very impressive picture. I must say, the Freeview (digital TV) picture looked even better than what I recently saw during a demonstration in the Sony center. I was expecting some MPEG compression blurring, but this was as good as unnoticeable, especially on the high bandwidth channels such as BBC1, 2, ITV and Channel 4 (as opposed to CBeebies, which seems to use more aggresive compression).

Sound is just fine. You might want to hook a amplifier and speakers if you like deep basses: the set only has 2 10W tweeters in front and thus lacks bass, but this did not disturb me.

The Electronic Program Guide is a bit disappointing in that it does not show a synopsis of the program: I've owned two digital receivers before buying this television and there the user interface was (a) more intuitive and (b) much more informative. I would expect better from Sony.

Only 2 HDMI inputs though, other Sony sets often have three making them slightly more future proof (although I can't imagine net being happy with 2 HDMI ports for foreseeable future).
