A truely great buy at £442.watched The Decent on film 4 last night,full of dark and gloomy scenes, and for the fist time didnt think i was missing anything,fantastic picture and sound.have read reveiws critisising this telly as cheap looking but dont believe everything you read,this is a chic looking quality product at a fantastic price.havent tried hd as yet as i dont own any hd gear,but the sd performance of this telly justifies its 5 star rating,exceptonal

Brilliant - and at the Amazon price great value for money.
I have compared this model with the competitors in retail shops and it is definitely superior to other similarly priced models from other manufacturers. At the time that I bought (end Feb 2008) Amazon's price was the best I could find (even allowing for cash back like Quidco and vouchers on other sites).
Of course, it is almost certainly bettered by some higher spec. other 32" Sony Bravia models, but at a higher price (currently 180 pounds more for the KDL-32D3000 for example).

I have directly compared this set the KDL 32P3020 to the (also Sony Bravia) KDL 32D3000. On paper the KDL 32D3000 is slightly better and is more expensive, but with hindsight i would pay the extra and buy this set instead of the KDL 32P3020 (here). The main difference on paper is that the KDL 32D3000 is 1080p instead of 1080i. In use with a Toshiba HD player and Chronicles of Riddick DC version, i noticed that the KDL 32D3000 has a clearer (truly HD image in my opinion) image with better colour repoduction and flesh tones, the image is also sharper and there is less artifact-ing. If you love your films get the KDL 32D3000 over this set (make sure its the 1080p version).
About 1080p: I got this cheaper set (KDL 32P3020) after reading everywhere that 1080p was wasted on a 32" set this is clearly not the case with the KDL 32D3000, and i want to sell my KDL 32P3020 now.

I ordered online from Amazon and it arrived two days later - excellent!
The set up was extremely easy and all done within 15 minutes.
The grey cabinet is very elegant and the picture and sound quality just amazing. Well done Sony!!!
