Excellent Tv - 28 Mar 2008

After reading all of these's reveiws I was in 2 minds as to whether to purchase this Tv, but thankfully I did.
On deciding to speand the extra £8 for express delivery my tv arivvied ahead of schedule. After taking the Tv out of the box i was supprised to find how easy it was to set, although it did require, as expected, me to fine tune the picture, which was just as easy, this was due to the fact that the contrast comes set at 100%, far to high for the Tv, also I have found thtat this Tv needs a few minutes to warm up before you get the "perfect" picture. Another problem stated in these reveiws is that the tv is not responsive enough to the remote, this was easyily sorted with a third party remote. I can fault Amazon's delivery but have found it difficult to find out how you stand on the 12 month garentee that you would normally expect from a major retailer.
Top Quality - 27 Mar 2008

Ordered and delivered with the minimum of fuss, next day for £8.99, excellent.
TV received at 8:45am, up and running by 9:00am.
Easy set-up, a couple of options to take and it was basically plug and play.
Nice easy options to navigate through the channels, for both digital and terrestrial. Can be set-up for bright rooms, standard rooms or dark (movie) type rooms.
I agree with some of the other reviewers in that the picture does take some getting used to, however this does not detract from the overall pleasure of viewing.
No issues with TV yet so cannot comment on the quality of the Samsung service department.
After a lot of searching this is the best I have found!

I bought this tv after alot of research, i found this to be rated a 5 star by what hifi magazine, so decided to buy. And it has lived up to its expectations. I have linked it up to my ps3 via hdmi cable and the pivture is mind blowing. Playing COD4 feels as though a battle is going on in your room. The sound is good, the picture is brilliant, and it's great value for money. Howeveer if you look around you can find this for £450. Overall an absolute imense tv, well worth a buy.
Big mistake money down the drain - 29 Jan 2008

We purchased this TV in Sept 07..My husband liked the look of the TV in the shop the picture looked OK. We were conned into buying very expensive scart leads. (Which dont make any difference) When we got it home, the picture quality It becomes blurry on fast and slow movements. The DVD recorder had a poor picture until I connected HDMI lead. The only thing I like about the set is the swivel stand the sound is pretty good, but changing channels it's very slow to respond. The remote doesn't work with other equipment like they say it does. I sent it back for repair, Samsung made life very difficult. They sent the wrong part. I was without a TV all over Xmas. In fact I was without a TV for over two months. In the end I got a new TV off Samsung. The picture is only slightly better but to be honest I would never buy another Samsung TV again. It would be a Sony, Panasonic or Even JVC. My family have these makes and all are picture perfect!

This is a fabulous TV, I went to John Lewis and saw all different TVS and the one that caught my eye was the Samsung the picture just seemed better than the rest. When I got it and tested it out I was very happy the sound is brilliant I cant understand why some are saying its bad. I did however get some scart leads which I recommend the old ones I had was rubbish, in all I am delighted I got this TV and for £499 a good deal considering other places are charging £599.
