5 Reviews for Panasonic TX-32LMD70 - 32" Widescreen Viera HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview
superb - 02 Apr 2008

I recently spent days, no weeks researching lcd tvs and eventually decided on this little beauty.....
The setup of the tele was simple to say the least, out of the box and watching tele in ten minutes. The digital receiver built into the tv is very good indeed found all channels no worries. It also has a ci (common
interface) slot for pay tv.
Picture is very good with sd signal and outstanding with hd content...I have not encountered any screen blurr as of yet which i know plagues alot of lcd tvs due to fast moving images. I was advised to get this model in the end instead of the 100htz model lxd70 because you are not able to turn the 100htz on and off on that model. This can be detrimentle to the picture quality some times believe it or not, as i have witnessed with my own eyes at my uncles house.
Connectivity is good with 2 hdmi slot, 2 scarts, 1 component,1 pc(15pin dsub), s-video,video (rca pin) and 2 x audio l-r.
sound quality is good and plenty loud enough for me, offers all the usual settings.ie bass, treble,5.1 surround mode (with external speakers),virtual surround.
The build quality is second to none and looks very handsome either turned on or off.
I didnt buy mine at amazon but often buy regually from them, i actually got mine from richer sounds for £400.00 + £40.00 for the 5 year panel protection. I also bought the Panasonic dmr-ez27eb dvd recorder for £149.99 hence the tv only being £400.00. The viera link between the two devices works well and reduces the need for the dvd remote as both can be operated by the tele remote.
All in all a great tv im actually more impressed with it than i thought i would be especially the space saved.
Beware! There are one or two odd reviews here! - 29 Mar 2008

Well - not wanting to spend a fortune on replacing our 5-year old Philip's TV I thought I'd check out "Which?" magazine and some on-line reviews. There's little contest - this set is clearly the best value buy at present (at Mar 08). The next model up, the LXD, is over £100 more and if money's no object it does offer a touch less "ghosting", i.e. the very slight shimmering of pixels next to moving objects. The fact is that this set creates very little shimmering indeed. I go along fully with the professional reviewers on this: it's truly a top-notch and well-designed set that performs brilliantly and looks absolutely gorgeous.
Great TV - Never mind the HD capability - 04 Feb 2008

Having seen this model and the tx-32lxd700 side by side in an electronics shop I can honestly say that there is no difference in picture quality when viewing a SD terrestrial signal. The cost saving against the higher spec panasonic models is tremendous considering the equal performance.
In addition to this the Vieras seem to be able to handle the translation of the SD signal very well, if not the best of all makes of LCD screens, up to the larger image size.
`
I haven't tested the television with a HD source, but as these are expensive and limited in content it's something that is just nice to be able to handle in the future for me.
There is an issue with live sports and the like when watched using a SD signal, however it's no different to the lack of image quality i used to get on the 14" crt tv, it's just bigger because the screen is bigger. I suspect that this is more an issue with the signal quality with which the events are broadcast due to being live. Anything that isn't live broadcast has a great picture quality even with a SD signal.
Another point to note is the built in EPG, text services and subtitles all work incredibly quickly. I'm used to waiting in excess of 60 seconds for the interactive services to load with virgin media, the inbuilt digibox however reacts almost instantly to those requests.
I purchased this tv to have a large tv. the HD capability is good for making it future proof and usable when i have more money and there's more service available. if that's what you're after then this is probably one of the best tvs you can buy for that purpose. it's easy to use and does the job well with capability for HD when you're ready. By all accounts it's good for HD use as well, although it doesn't handle the 1080p definition. However if you know what this means you probably won't have got this far through the review.
HD TVs are easy to give bad reviews if people expect a better image quality through the same aerial they have always used. Having a HD TV doesn't give you a better image, it just works well enough so you can see the flaws that have always been there.
Fabulous! - 21 Jan 2008

Having read a previous customer review (re. non-delivery) it was with trepidation that we ordered the Panasonic 32" on Friday morning on an Amazon special delivery service (guaranteed to arrive by 1pm the following day)! But, as promied, the TV arrived on Saturday morning (at 11.30am!) and we're thrilled with it! It was excellent value (about £150 less than several other retailers) with great quality pictures on chanels 1-5 (unable to view Freeview yet as it looks like we need a digital booster aerial to do so - fingers crossed!). Do be prepared to spend a little while reading the instructions & setting up the new tv! I've never been an avid tv-watcher, especially as we have a very large lounge which involved squinting across the room at our little old tv, so it was wonderful to sit with the whole family on Saturday evening and watch a film clearly - if you're undecided about going for a large screen tv ... just go for it! Thanks Amazon :o)
WARNING DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM FROM AMAZON AS THEY CANNOT DELIVER IT - 18 Dec 2007

I purchased this TV and chose express delivery. I received an e-mail telling me the TV had been dispatched together with my 5 year extended warranty. The TV should have arrived today (Tuesday 18th December 2007) at 1pm. The TV never arrived.
After contacting Amazon I was suprised to hear that not only had the TV not been dispatched but that they could not guarantee to get a replacement TV to me. The website however still shows that this TV is IN STOCK.
I have asked for a refund only to be told that it's going to take 3 days and I should have the refund on Friday 21st December. This is poor customer service and now means that I don't have the money to purchase another TV in time for christmas.
I will not be purchasing anything from this website ever again and if you are considering making a large purchase then you should avoid Amazon.
