could do better D+ - 18 Apr 2007

Not happy with the TV. Although picture quality is good, widescreen broadcasts never appear in widescree filling the whole screen
the picture has black bars on the top and sides. You can stretch it, but thats not true widescreen
may resolve this issue if connected to the sky box
sound is good.
watching DVD's on it is good though. But there does appear to be lines covering the screen, its not absolutely clear
navigation around the menu is easy, and well laid out.
Amazon were happy to replace TV! so very happy with Amazon, and purchased a Sony Bravia 26" from them which i have no complaints about!
My best bargain ever! - 30 Mar 2007

I've been looking for a 32" LCD TV for a while and as I was shopping on a budget I was on the hunt for a great deal and I believe I've found it with this TV. It was good to spend time researching to be sure of what you are looking for.
My shopping list was good contrast (this TV is 1200:1 - had to do a bit of research to find this out), includes Freeview (and it does), budget £400 - £450 (so £399 was great).
Despite reservations it was easy to set up and install the only thing I got wrong was setting up the freeview but one call to the helpline and they sorted it out without a problem (recommend you call during the day rather than evening) I had just misread the instructions. My husband is super impressed with my bargain hunting skills - all in all a 5 star rating for me and the TV!
Fantastic HDTV - 21 Mar 2007

No Idea how they do this for the money, it supports 1080, looks great with any source running through it by especially the xbox 360. The only reason it has 4 and not 5 stars is the picture size options, you can have full screen or 6:9 and thats it.
Thinking of buying another one to use as my monitior as I am a designer.
Great value, but not perfect - 10 Mar 2007

We bought this as a second set, and when the 42" Samsung plasma had to go back it was temporarily promoted from understudy to star, . I've been very pleased with how it's performed. I made a mistake connecting it at first, the aerial goes in where it says DTV then you connect the short lead from RF out to TV aerial in, the quick start is not clear on this. The menus seemed hard work but evemntually got my head round them.Wife still does not like the source select. Only real failing is our upscaling Denon DVD will not play PAL DVDs over the HDMI, it does play NTSC DVDs over HDMI, and of course PAL over everthing else????. For the screen size component is OK so we use it like that. The tech support line were not great, had not heard of HDCP so hard to let me know if it was compliant!
Good and not so good - 10 Mar 2007

TV excellent, but no good if the remote control does not work properly. It does not matter if you stand 3 inches or 10 foot away. It sometimes works, sometimes not. No good holding finger down, it will cut in and shoot 30 channels down or 30 volume up. Pressing harder makes no difference.
Shame. It had the potential of being a massive bargain.
